Ice is out on the Connecticut Lakes!!! Let the spring fishing season begin! As the water temp rises in the river, the salmon run will begin. We have warm weather on tap for the first of the coming week. It could be good for next weekend!! The river has already received an early stocking of trout. The ponds will be turning on with the coming warmth. Are you fishing this weeked???
Flies to try include the Marabou Grey Ghosts, BWOs, Magog Smelt, Red Copper Johns, BH Pheasant Tail, BH Prince, Hatching Pupa, Elk Hair Caddis, Griffith's Gnat and other midgies, Marabou Coachman, and Wooly Buggers and Bombers.
