Area Services

Pittsburg, New Hampshire is a small town of about 864 year round residents and yet the largest township this side of the Mississippi River. There are probably more moose than people yet we have a good selection of restaurants, stores, and services.

Restaurants

**** The Rainbow Grille at Tall Timber Lodge has excellent food. The atmosphere is relaxed yet classy with a North Country theme. Choose from grilled trout, tasty duck, fresh seafood, or certified Angus beef entrees. Appetizers, delicious deserts, childrens menu, wine selection and cocktails. Drive time? 5 minutes

**** Sutton Place, Colebrook, NH. A favorite of ours! Freshly prepared seafood and steaks with owner/chef specialty dishes. Nice wine list. Relaxed atmosphere with a great wait staff. Appetizers, great deserts, and cocktails. Drive time? 35 minutes

*** Back Lake Tavern serving dinner on weekends. Steaks and seafood. Cocktails, wine and beer. Drive time? 5 minutes

*** The Glen has wonderful food. They serve a nightly entree. Up country lodge atmosphere. Reservations are a must. We'd be happy to make them for you before 2 pm. BYOB May to October Drive time? 3 minutes

***Happy Corner Cafe serve 3 meals daily. Convenient location, great breakfasts, lunches and satisfying dinners.

** Dube's Pit Stop is a great breakfast and lunch spot. Browse through the General Store next door! Open daily until 2pm Drive time? 12 minutes

** Buck Rub Pizza Pub serving pizza, subs, fried chicken and popular appetizers until 10 pm. Draft and bottled beers and wine coolers. Drive time? 5 minutes

Grocery Stores

Young's Store is wonderfully convenient only two miles away. They carry great meat, fresh bread, milk and all the important essentials and more. They carry a good selection of beer, wine, and spirits. They also sell gas and oil. Their slogan is 'we sell generally everything' and it is correct.

Dube's Pit Stop on the Main St. They carry all the basic necessities as well as serving breakfast and lunch.

IGA in Colebrook, NH is our nearest full service grocer. Stop in on your way through for the best selection of grocery items.

Gift Shops

Treats and Treasures just a half mile north of the Lodge on Route 3. Stop up and browse through the selection of clothing, gifts, and goodies. There is a good selection of popular movies for rent too.

The General Store is a wonderful old general store on Main St. They carry the grocery essentials but also carry wonderful north country crafts, antiques and gift items.

The Old Appletree is my favorite shop for Yankee Candles, pottery, and nice gifts. Rte 26, Colebrook, NH
