North Hatley, Quebec

Just an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from Pittsburg is North Hatley, Quebec. A favorite day trip of ours, North Hatley is a fun tourist spot in Quebec's eastern townships. Quaint shops and great restaurants along with kayak rentals on Lac Massawippi keep us coming back every summer. A favorite restaurant, The Pilsen, has a wonderful deck overhanging the water where ducks beg for table scraps and boaters glide by. English and French are spoken here.
From Pittsburg travel south on Rte 3 to W Stewartstown. At the flshing light by the Spa Restaurant, take a right onto 114. Follow thru for 2 milesto the right turn for the US/Canada customs. Follow this for 8 miles then take a right onto Rte 141.

Go thru Coaticook and continue to Compton. Take Rte 208 Ouest (west), then Rte 143 Nord (north) 6.3 miles to a flashing light. At the light, take a left. Go 1.5 miles and this will bring you to downtown North Hatley.
