12.2 miles from Rte 3 on Magalloway Rd, a well kept logging road, and down a quarter mile path, you'll find Garfield Falls. Garfield Falls is a "Special place in the Woods" set aside and well marked by Champion Intl Paper Co. The falls are on the East Branch of the Dead Diamond River near the Maine border. There are a couple great pools for the adventurous summer swimmer or fisherman. Truly a beautiful spot. Bring a camera and good walking shoes!
