Howdy one and all. I hope all is well and your thoughts are upon the fall runs and the turning leaves. We've got them both, along with this we also have the changing weather and different fronts moving through nearly everyday. It is true the leaves are turning and things are starting to certainly look like fall. Our weather has been mostly on the cool and rainy side recently. We've have had a little nice weather this week. For instance today, I mean there was at least an hour or two it didn't rain.
But how's the fishing you might ask?? It's getting better every day. Each day I think is more interesting than the day before. Every time we go out we find something new, you never know what your going to get. This time of the season will start some of the fish moving and make them a little more vulnerable. There have been some beautiful Brookies and Salmon caught down below 1st lake dam all the way down to lake Francis. Down below lake Francis below Murphy dam has been producing some wonderful Browns there hasn't been many but they can truly be huge fish, especially large for this area.
The small streams and the back country beaver bogs have been a very delightful way to spend and afternoon or an evening. This is a great way to get away from the crowds and to really get out there. The woods and the changing trees are especially beautiful this time of year,(even in the rain). With the onset of fall the water temps are cool and the little native Brookies have become very active. They are absolutely gorgeous this time of year, the colors on them are spectacular.
We've been having great days up here on the river and despite all the cruddy weather. It's a great time to be up, so grab your poly-pro, your fleece pants and rain jacket, get up here and end the season off with a bang.
Thank you, Tight Lines
