Good fishing and great fish thoughts to all, they invade my brain essentially every waking moment and at least I think most of my dreams also. Lets all face it folks it's an awful nice feeling when the rod comes tight when set hard against a nice fish. Yeah, you are now thinking about it and a slight grin has come across your face.   Sweet......

Well sorry about not blogging last week. Times up here are busy and the season is growing short. The leaves are changing and the air has been crisp. The fishing has been in really great shape the past week or so. They have dropped the water flows and then also again today. There has been a lot of great fish stories as of late. Some people say there's nothing but small fish and some say they caught the largest fish they have ever caught. So all must be taken with a grain of salt and come on up and decide for yourself. There are certainly some very large salmon up in the river right now and at least for the time being they'll be accessible. If the water levels continue to drop some of these fish will drop back to the lake.

We've had great water temps lately due to the cold we've had. The rivers are in great shape right now and the fish are happy. We've still been doing a lot of floats, on the Connecticut and the Androscoggin. There has been plenty of fish around and some days have been absolutely silly great numbers and decent size fish.

As always nymphing is always productive, but with the water levels dropping and still have warm days you can still bring fish to the surface with caddis and you can never go wrong throwing streamers this time of the year.

We'll as we all know the end of the season is growing near. We are exploring some new waters to help extend the inevitable. I will be checking on some waters over in Vermont for trout and checking some of our reservoirs for small mouth and pickerel. If everything goes well we may be able to extend the season by a week or two. So if any of that sounds good to any of you please let us know. Til then Tight lines.

   PEACE       BILL
