Good morning to all and to all a good morning, tight lines and hard pulling fish.

All righty then, lets get down to brass tacks. The fishing in the north country has change a bit in the past week or so. More recently we've been plagued with cold fronts coming through on almost an every other day basis. Yeah up here it's starting to feel like fall. The swamp maples are starting to turn and the nights are cold and clear. It's been great sleeping weather, with also a few days with on and off showers and keeping everything damp.

The more interesting news is that they changed the water flows. After a few months of below normal water lows they have taken it the other way, for reasons we don't completely understand. The water is now a (LITTLE) high it's not to bad it just makes wading a bit more difficult. The upside with having high water is, it gets the fish all wrangled up, there's more food in the water and it gives the fish more security. Having high water flows at this time of the year means that the salmon that have been staging at the mouth of the river will be heading on up.

From the reports from the lakes the fish are starting to move a little more to the surface and are lending themselves more readily to the people that have been trolling. Also with the cold nights we've been having this means the surface temp of lakes is also dropping and the small ponds are starting to come into there late season fishing mode.

We could also at any time get into an Indian summer, it's not to late to still have some absolute beautiful days. But if you all decide to come and visit our wonderful area, I'd suggest at least bringing some warm fleece gear, just in case.

It's a great time to be up here and a beautiful time also.

   We'll see you up here.

   PEACE   tight lines,      BILL
