Good evening one and thus for more also, where when and what, that is a very legitimate question. If the answer was simple it would be just that. The one true factual is that it has rained nearly every day, and hard at times.  

The fishing this week, from my experience has been difficult to say the least. That's not to say we haven't caught fish (we have.) It is that every fish has been well earned. There are a few fish around up in the river and still some salmon at that.The water flows in the river have certainly fluctuated recently with the rain we've had,and the water temps remain cool. We've caught them on everything from streamers to dries. We took a nice Landlock yesterday on a parachute Adams. We've had mornings where we've caught 10 fish and mornings where we've caught 3.

The bottom line is.............  Is the water High????     Yes, a little
Is the water fishable???   Yes, most of it
Are we catching fish???   Yes
Is it easy????                 No

The ponds have been fishing fairly well when the wind dies out enough to cast. And this past week we've also done some bass trips. Which have been very successful. It's all about being flexible and rolling with the days. This past week we've done Bass trips, Float trips, with the biggest brown of the season, and even a boat load of hiking to fish behind gates to catch little wild brookies and salmon.

If you ask what the prediction will be for next week. I hazard a guess, I figure myself and the weather guy to be about as accurate. (I'll be working on that) And in all sincerity I look optimistically towards next week. When the fishing hard you have to fish harder.
