Good Afternoon one and all, Howdy,Howdy. First and foremost IBill Bernhardt, head fly fishing guide at Lopstick want to thank each and everyone of you all, Thank You for making this a very successful and pleasant season for us all. We all couldn't have done it without you. THANK YOU....

Alas, the time has come. It is time to dry the waders and boots to break down the rods and clean the boats for one last time of the season. Maybe I'll finally have a chance to organize my fly box and maybe clean my vehicle, honestly if I had my druthers I'd rather not. You learn to appreciate the stinky smell of the waders the boots with the broken laces and eyelet. It's a badge if you will and this year more so than years past it has been a year for breaking. Off the top of my head.... 3 flyrods, 2 reels, a pair of waders and boots, 2 boat batteries and a boat strap, a pontoon on my Mckenzie drifter a float tube and trolling motor. The plus side to that is that new gear is always fun.
Well it has been a great season with some of the best fish I've have seen in a long time. Needless to say was the 10+ pound Brown caught by Hardy. But also some great days and very memorable. This year also I've seen more small juvenile fish caught than in years past. I only assume that these are wild fish and let them keep coming that is truly the future. Also I think in some instances the fishing this season was some of the most unpredictable that I've seen in many years and really that started with day one when the ice went out nearly a month early. But, hey, I wouldn't want to have it any other way. If it was to easy I'm sure it would loose some of it's appeal. I will miss being on the water nearly every day although the thoughts will be engraved and there will not be a day or hardly an hour this winter my mind won't wander, retreating to the sounds and the feel of the seasons ago. With also the thoughts of next year and as always the desire to explore and examine new waters and sights. The ever quenching desire. The proverbial whats around the next corner.
Not that I want to rush life along but I love the anticipation of another season. I'll see you all again next season. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

Thanks again, Peace, tight lines
