Good afternoon one and all and Happy Mothers Day to those appropriated.

   Well in the minds eye Mothers Day is a sign of spring, blue skies, flowers blooming, birds are chirping. A very tranquil ,idealic conjure of ones inner sanctum. (Or one would think!!)  Well today here in the north country it SNOWED and matter of fact it is still snowing. Awesome,.A beautiful day to be on the water, wind blowing white caps on the river, snow pelting the side of your face fingure tips numb, half frozen, and a slight drip off your cap just enough to smear your glasses. You take a deep breath. AHH!!! What could be better?

   Salmon, (Salmo Salar) Well it ain't half bad. People often say if you catching fish you don't notice the weather so bad. Today was a day it was hard not to. It was freeking cold. But we caught fish, landed eight nice ones and had several others on, two guys four hours, not to bad. There were also a few other hearty souls who came and went throughout our time on the water, and we also spotted a few other fish being landed. A good day all and all, a little frost bite and slightly hypothermic but other than that it was worth it.

   Yesterday, was another cold day, rainy and miserable, but still persistance and tenacity wins out.

   We've had changing weather for the past few days and the fishing has been a little up and down, but still pretty good. There has been some hatches coming off and fish taken on dries and emergers. It's still early May you can't argue with that. We even fished a pond last night, it was a nice break from the wind and the fishing was darn good some nice big rainbows and a few nice brookies one about four pounds.

   This week the weather is suppose to warm slightly, so we'll see what happens. Another week of fun and adventure. We have a lot of fishing options and adventures so if you all are interested, give us a call!!!! Guide service is starting to book up.
