Welcome, Welcome one and all, your mind to mind open this the interpretive works of a madman, sleep deprived body aches andBill Bernhardt, head fly fishing guide at Lopstick broken slightly, sunburned and dehydrated. I can't believe it's already September. It seems as though the Bead Head Jillywart's were just emerging last week. The air thick, water covered with the spent corpse of another generation. I thought it was just to warm for a penguin to just be walking around, laughing at us. But no.......There certainly wasn't anything different about bizarre days of day long B.W.O hatches along with fish clouds and 19 inch browns. Geeze the heat this past week I don't know what I saw or did. There was even a report of a U.F.O.

Holy snikies!!!!! Boy was it hot is week the only reprieve is that we were actually on the water. I myself still couldn't believe the water temps this week, 58 degrees in the trophy stretch and 62 on the floats down from West Stewartstown down. Unbelievable the fishing has been great. I was actually serious about the fish cloud, all day long hatch and 19 inch brown. I don't know why but we started one of our floats with caddis dries for about an hour and then to b.w.o's for the rest of the day with far to many fish brought to net to count.

I've been wet wading this past week to beat the heat, it's been chilly when you get in to far, but it feels good. The water levels have still been down as of recently and the fish seem a little more pressured but still with a good presentation can be hooked, (landing is always another story). We fish the stand by flies and the evening's have proved to be good dry fly fishing.

Even the ponds have still been  popular spots, the brookies have been eager to put on the feed bag. We're looking forward to another busy week and hoping to see you all up here. It's seemed as though this past week was busy but certainly not to crowded on the river, or maybe they were just doing the rotation between fishing and there favorite fishing hole.

You all stay cool, they say it suppose to break this week.

  PEACE,    tight lines,           BILL   >~`}}'>
